Eligibility and Requirements
Students currently in grades 7-12 may apply. Returning Production Camp applicants are required to submit a current transcript, but are not required to demonstrate talent.
Required for New Production Campers:
- Letter of recommendation from a school choral director/music teacher/drama teacher, church choir director or director of an event in which you performed
- Demonstration of talent in acting, singing, dancing, or playing a musical instrument (a five-minute audition video is acceptable). Verification of participation in a recent theatre performance is also acceptable
OR
- Verification of current or past participation in a state appointed program for gifted and talented students. Examples: Viva Drama, Viva Art, PEAK, etc
***ALL campers are required to send an official sealed transcript with most recent standardized test scores each year***
Camp size is limited to 40 participants. Priority registration is given to previous campers with acceptance on a rolling basis. Do not delay, camp fills up fast. Priority deadlines are March 1 and April 1, 2023. Final deadline for submission of applications is May 1, 2023.
REQUIRED OF ALL Writers’ Camp plus Production Camp:
Applicants must submit all materials required for Production Camp and specify which track they prefer. In addition, applicants must submit samples as follows:
Scriptwriting Track: An original 1,200-word short story (5-pages, double space, one inch margin) or play which applicant has written. (Previous participants in Writers’ Camp are required to submit a new short story.)
Songwriting Track: 2 pages of original lyrics or recording of an original song.
