CO 2574 Summer Theater Workshop
High school juniors and seniors who are eligible for early college admission can earn four hours of college credit. These scholars spend a portion of their day learning about the intricacies of backstage work. Students will learn about set design, sound, lighting, costuming, and publicity.
Juniors must meet the following requirements:
- Completion of junior year
- A minimum composite ACT score of 24
- Letter of recommendation by your high school counselor or principal
- Evidence of immunization (2-MMR); the first MMR must have been given after the applicants first birthday.
Graduating seniors must meet the following requirements:
- Graduation with required College Preparatory Curriculum
- A minimum composite ACT score of 16
- A completed admission application as a regular student to Mississippi State University for the first term of summer school
- Evidence of immunization (2-MMR); the first MMR must have been given after the applicants first birthday.
**There is a one-time $40 processing fee for all applicants applying to Mississippi State University**
Participants who enroll in the Summer Theater Workshop for credit are exempt from camp tuition. Participants enrolled for credit are required to pay $1484 for course tuition to the University Registrar’s Office. Students will also be required to pay an additional $650 activity fee for residence hall lodging, meals, camp t-shirt, camp picture, and other camp activities. This fee is payable to Summer Scholars Camps.

Fees for the workshop are as follows:

$1,484 Academic Tuition (to be paid to the MSU Controller's Office)
