Welcome to Camp
We are excited to welcome you to Summer Scholars On Stage at Mississippi State University.
Over the next few weeks, students will collaborate to write, design, rehearse, and perform an original musical production.
Families, this page includes everything you need to prepare for camp—required forms, important dates,
check-in details, and contact information. Please review each section carefully and complete all required
items prior to arrival.

What to Expect
Summer Scholars On Stage is a fast-paced, creative, and collaborative residential camp experience.
Students should come ready to work hard, try new things, make new friends, and be part of a supportive community.

- Students will spend their days in classes, rehearsals, workshops, and creative collaboration.
- Writers will help develop the script, characters, dialogue, and lyrics for the original show.
- Technical theatre students will explore backstage production, design, and theatre technology.
- Production students will participate in rehearsals, music, movement, and performance preparation.
- All students should be prepared for a busy schedule, teamwork, and an exciting final production experience.
